Gaye Wynell Wertz passed away on Friday, September 6, 2013 at the age of 65. 
She was a native of Columbus, GA and a resident of Lacombe, LA for the past 17 
years.

She was the daughter of Paul Arthur and Wynell Tindell Wertz. Beloved mother of 
Phillip Wertz. Loving sister of Edward Wertz and Carroll Wertz. Gaye is also 
survived by her nephew, Paul Wertz.

She began her teaching career in New Orleans before moving to the northshore. 
She was a faculty member of Bayou Lacombe Junior High, Southeastern Louisiana 
University and Fontainebleau Junior High.

Gaye was a talented pianist and loving, devoted mother. Her strong spirit will 
be greatly missed.
