David Files Browne passed away on October 14, 2013 at Louisiana Medical Center 
and Heart Hospital in Lacombe, LA. 
“Dave” was born August 28, 1934, the son of Alton Holmes and Gladys Files 
Browne in Black River, NY and has been a resident of Louisiana since 1998.

The beloved husband of Phyllis B. Browne, he is survived by one son, David O. 
Browne; his daughter, Brenda K. Motichek; four grandchildren and six great 
grandchildren.

Mr. Browne began working at an early age for AAFES at Ft. Drum, NY before 
becoming the Warehouse Manager at Westover Air Force Base in Massachusetts. He 
later founded Quality Homes General Contractors to act as its President/CEO 
while also hauling loads cross country “driving trucks for Jesus”. 
He was passionate in his devotion to Christ and time spent loving his family. 
He will be greatly missed.

A celebration of David’s life will be held privately at a later date.

E.J. Fielding Funeral Home of Covington, LA was entrusted with arrangements.
