Joseph Frederick Stephany, age 73, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013. 
He was the son of the late Joseph and Elvina Stephany.

Joe was the beloved husband of Carol Stephany and the loving father of Joseph 
Stephany, Jr. (Doranel), Dana Stephany, the late Todd Stephany and stepfather 
of Trent Sitzman, Jay Sitzman (Cindy), Todd Sitzman (Lisa) and Keli Sitzman 
Sanders (Michael). He was the proud grandfather of Rachel, Heather, Amanda, 
Brittany, Johnny, Olivia, Christian, Steven and John; great grandfather of 
Santana. He was the brother of Gerald Stephany (Bonnie) and Frank Stephany (the 
late Henrietta).

Joe was a past resident of New Orleans, St Bernard, Slidell and presently 
Mandeville. In Joseph's spare time he enjoyed spending time with family and 
friends... and let's not forget about the "Old Farts Club" and the "Magnificent 
Six".

As a long time member of the Deutsches Haus Joseph enjoyed learning about his 
German heritage and sharing his passion for Stein collecting. For the past 
twelve years he served as president of the Bayou Stein Verein Organization.

Over the years he made many trips to Germany but especially enjoyed visiting 
his families' hometown of Berg Pfalz, Germany.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial 
Celebration of his life at Ridge Memorial Baptist Church in Slidell on Monday, 
October 28, 2013 at 11:00 am.
