Katherine French Tweedy, 89, of Covington, Louisiana went to heaven on Sunday 
November 17, 2013. 

She was born Katherine Karen French. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and 
Alice Engan French. 
She attended Covington High and graduated from Louisiana State University in 
1943.

She was the beloved wife of the late Byron Tweedy and the loving mother of Jim 
Tweedy and the late Jack Tweedy. She was the proud grandmother of Mark-Ellen 
Tweedy, Mackenzie Tweedy, Sean Tweedy and Shannon Tweedy. Katherine was the 
sister of John and William French.

She was a lifelong resident of Covington, LA for 87 years. She was a former 
teacher at Covington High, a child welfare worker and a supervisor for the St. 
Tammany Parish Office of Social Services. In Katherine's spare time, she 
enjoyed travel, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Graveside Service 
on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 11am in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 
2280 W. 21st Ave, Covington, La
