Gary James Bloom passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013. 

He was born on Tuesday, July 28, 1942 in San Antonio, TX to Albert James and 
Wilmert Overstreet Bloom, was a resident of Harvey, LA for 27 years before 
moving to Covington in 2000.

The beloved husband of Susan Salsman Bloom, he is survived by his son - David 
James Bloom. The brother of Beverly Yoehle and Patsy Arnold, he was preceded in 
death by his parents.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 2:00 PM on 
Thursday, December 26, 2013 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 125 E. 19th Ave. 
Covington, LA 70433.

Visiting hours on Thursday at the church will begin at 11:00 AM.

Interment at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery will immediately follow mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Abbey Pennies for 
Bread, St. Benedict, LA 70457 OR to St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Peter 
Catholic Church at the address above.
