Melanie Calbert passed away at her home in Abita Springs on Thursday, December 
26 at the age of 37. 

Born in New Orleans, lived in St. Bernard Parish for most of her life and most 
recently lived in Abita Springs for the past 3 years. 

Graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1997 and obtained her Associate 
Degree from Nunez Community College in Culinary Arts. 

Loving daughter of Donna Nunez Evans and the late Jim Evans. Sister of Jacques 
Evans, Jeanette Evans, Melissa Holder. 
Devoted Aunt of Sebastian Moss, N'Thaniel Moss, Ashley Holder, Heather Evans, 
Lily Evans and Alani Evans.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service 
at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2638 W. 15th Avenue, Covington 
on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 12:00 noon. Visitation from 11:00 am until 
service time. 

Arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Covington.
