GARDNER, JOHN H. 
(January 31, 1923 - December 4, 2013)

John Howard Gardner is at rest after a full life of over 90 years. He passed 
away peacefully Wednesday evening, December 4th. 

A graduate of California Institute of Technology, he worked as a petroleum 
engineer for Aramco and Richfield Oil. 
He served our country in the Navy during WWII in the Pacific. 

He was married to Barbara Seaver Gardner, a graduate of Stanford University, 
also in engineering. They had 4 children, 8 grandchildren and one great 
grandchild. He played the cello and Barbara, the viola for the Bakersfield 
symphony for a number of years. 
Barbara passed away in 1994. John loved boats, the water, and living in 
California. 

His ashes will be returned there, as he wished.
