She was the beloved wife of the late Clarence Paul Jacob, Jr. Mother of: Darryl Paul Jacob and wife, Mary (Baton Rouge) ; Nikki Mary Nicholson and husband, Ray (Forest City, NC); and Jesse Wade Jacob and wife, Alice (Cedar Park, TX). Daughter of the late Edward John and Marie Fernandez Larmann. Sister of: Alfred L. Larmann; Joan L. Drewes; Margaret L. Osterhold; the late Fr. Marion E. Larmann; Carol L. Springmann and Anna Mae L. Maher. Also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Marie was native of New Orleans and lived in Slidell for 30 years. She resided in Baton Rouge at the time of her death. Marie was an avid reader and she enjoyed watching films, attending plays, traveling, watching JEOPARDY and playing cards, Pokeno, football pools and bingo with her friends. Marie brightened the lives of many people with her smile and friendly personality. She will be missed by her family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service. Services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. Rev.Chris Andrews, officiating. Inurnment in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY. Visitation on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 11:00A.M until funeral time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Patrons of the Public Library in her memory, c/o 7711 Goodwood Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70806 to support outreach services to Senior Centers in appreciation of her love of reading and use of the bookmobile.
