SCHACKAI, EDNA C 
    April 3, 1921  -  December 21, 2013

EDNA CHRETIEN SCHACKAI, 92, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Saturday, December 
21, 2013, in Slidell.

Beloved Wife of the late John August Schackai;
Mother of John Eugene Schackai (Karen), Carole Addison (the late Joe Addison), 
Darryl Schackai (Antonia);
Daughter of the late Eugene and Magdeline Chretien;
Sister of the late Anthony Chretien, Evelyn Smith, and Bertha Ward.
Also survived by seven grandchildren: Elizabeth Schackai, Catherine Schackai, 
Michele Arseneaux, Melissa Addison, Jason Schackai, Daniel Schackai, and Jon 
Schackai; and six great-grandchildren.

A native of New Orleans, and a resident of Slidell since 1956, Edna enjoyed 
playing bingo, cooking, crocheting.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.
Funeral Services will be held at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME,
1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA
on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 10:00 A.M.

Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday at 9:00am.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans.

Donations to: Alzheimers Association,preferred, in lieu of flowers.
