Martha "Margain" Thomas Tynes passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at her 
home in Covington, LA. 

She was born, Wednesday, December 16, 1936 in Pine, LA to MacCauley "Buck" and 
Dorethea Cooper Thomas and moved to Covington in 1982.

The beloved wife of Loyd T. Tynes for 59 years, she is survived by two 
daughters - Cheryl Tynes Carrier and Amy Tynes Danna; one brother - Mack 
Thomas; three sisters - Alberta Kennedy, Lucille Thomas and Ruth Thomas; three 
grandchildren - Justin and Leah Beth Carrier, Scott Danna and one great 
grandson - Andrew Carrier. She was preceded in death by her parents and three 
brothers - J.M., Berkley and Dalton Thomas.

Margain retired as a supervisor from the business office at South Central Bell 
after 37 years of service. She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist 
Church of Covington and volunteered tirelessly at the Habitat store in West St. 
Tammany for many years after her retirement.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 12:00 Noon on 
Thursday, December 05, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Covington, 16333 
Highway 1085 Covington, LA 70433.

Visiting hours at the church on Thursday will begin at 10:00 AM.

Interment at the Crain Cemetery near Stateline, LA

will take place at 3:00 PM following lunch in the fellowship hall.
