John Paul Landry was 60 years old when he passed away in his home in 
Mandeville, Louisiana on Thursday, January 30, 2014 after a lengthy battle with 
kidney disease. 

John was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 27, 1953. He was raised in 
Slidell, Louisiana and was the oldest of five children. 
John graduated from St. Paul’s School in 1971 and married his high school 
sweetheart Ellen Marie Gibson in 1976. 
He had 2 daughters Lindsey Elizabeth and Lise’ Nicole Landry. John was a 
diehard LSU fan, never met a sweet treat he didn’t love, and made a friend 
everywhere he went. 

John is survived by his wife; Ellen Landry; two daughters: Lindsey Edmond and 
Lise’ Joffrion; and four grandchildren: Anthony John Edmond, III “Jack”, Grace 
Edmond, Paul Edmond, and William Edmond. 

“Grandad” as he was called by his grandchildren, loved to spend time with his 
family. 

John was predeceased by his parents; Onesipe Paul and Patricia Delhomme Landry. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on 
Monday, February 3, 2014 at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 306 St. Mary Street, 
Madisonville, LA 70447 at 11:00 AM with visitation will be AT CHURCH from 10:00 
AM until service time
