Sam J. Abney passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at the age of 63.

Beloved husband of Terri Larsen Abney. Loving father of Scott J. Abney and 
Tracy Abney Kendrick (Barret). Son of the late Roy and Marie Abney. Brother of 
Patricia Abney Gele, Gayle Abney Keller and the late Robert Abney. Grandfather 
of Larsen Kendrick and Shaw Kendrick. Also survived by nieces, nephews and 
extended family.

Mr. Abney was devoted to his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather 
and brother. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of the northshore 
for the past 27 years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial services 
on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st 
Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 at 2:00 PM with visitation on Saturday from 12:00 
noon until service time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Mr. Abney to 
be made to the American Heart Association
