Marie Vivian Daniel (known as B-Bunny to all who loved her) passed away peacefully at the age of 80 after a courageous three-year battle to spend more time with her family. The daughter of the late Ralph C. Johnson and the late Marie Bertaut Johnson, Marie was born in Okeechobee, Fla. in 1933 and spent most of her life residing in Slidell, La. She was preceded in death by her husband Ellison E. Daniel Sr. Marie was the beloved mother of Ellison E. Daniel Jr., Catherine D. Vogel, Bridget Strecker, the late Brenda Ann Wilsey, Mark Daniel, Bruce Daniel, and Susan Marie Schaffer. She was blessed with many grandchildren, including Tiffany Mancl, Renee Watkins, Jamie Owens, Heather Owens, Shannon Guitreau, Stephanie Strecker, Mary Strecker, the late Steven Daniel, Tad Daniel, Jonathan Daniel, Benjamin Daniel, Josiah Daniel, Leah Daniel, Angel Marie Pumila, and Brandon Sagona; and great-grandchildren, including Celeste, Brian, Kaitlyn, and Jasmine Mancl; Noah Guitreau; Laylah and Hannah Rose Watkins; and Isabella StellaMaria Pumila. Marie was also the beloved sister of the late Ralph C. Johnson Jr., Patricia Luther, Richard Johnson, the late Grace Hursey, the late Frances Faciane, Daniel Johnson, Diane Thompson, and Larry Johnson. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly. Marie was a long-time member of Thompson Road Baptist Church and an avid supporter of all animal causes. She loved to read, spend time at the beach, and watch Jeff Gordon win NASCAR races. Known for her mischievous wit, her generous spirit, and her soft-spoken manner, Marie dedicated her life to her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life Wednesday, March 5, at Honaker Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. and burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery. ===================
