She was born in New Orleans, was a longtime resident of Lakeview and resided in Mandeville for the past 11 years. A graduate of St. Dominic School and Mt. Carmel Academy, she also received her MBA from the University of New Orleans in 2002. She was actively and enthusiastically involved in the Krewe of Muses and was one of the original members of the organization. Joy is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Robert E. Lampard, Jr. She was the devoted daughter of Joyce Bourgeois Brown and the late Preston Brown. Sister of Michael F. Serio (Patricia), Peggy I. Brown and the late Jack A. Serio, Jr. Sister-in-law of Catherine L. Naccari (Bruce), Ronald E. Lampard (Lucille) and Caroline A. Lampard. Aunt of Leslie A. Serio, Michael F. Serio, Jr. (Susanne), Madeleine L. Serio, Ronald J. Lampard, Christine T. Lampard, Carly L. Hyer, Casey E. Hyer, Paolo A. Naccari and Paz C. Naccari. Great-aunt of Emma F. Serio. Niece of Edna Mae Bourgeois Hyde and Aline Bourgeois Craven. Also survived by many loving cousins and friends. Joy was a loyal friend to many and adored life. Any time spent with Joy was certain to be a good time. She was especially fond of celebrating St. Patrick's Day on Philip St. with the the Hand and Lampard clan. Joy also loved to spend time with her beloved dogs Reggie and Vanessa and favorite feline Princess Mineaux. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 775 Harrison Avenue, New Orleans,at 3:00 pm on Monday, February 24, 2014. A private inurnment will take place at a later time. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the St. Tammany Humane Society, 20394 Harrison Avenue, Covington, LA, 70433. ===================
