ANITA LEATHERBURY, a resident of Lacombe, LA, died of natural causes at the age 
of 97 on February 4, 2014. 

She was the wife of Lewis C. Leatherbury who preceded her in death. 
Mrs. Leatherbury was the proud mother of five children, grandmother of 10 and 
great-grandmother of 10. 

Her passions in life were her children and grandchildren, her church and the 
many flowers she grew in her yard. She was a long time member of the Lacombe 
Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the Senior Citizens Club in 
Lacombe. 

She is survived by her children: Lillian L Williams (Ronald) of Slidell, LA; 
Maurice Leatherbury (Cheryl) of Flower Mound, TX; Rosalie Statham (Robert) of 
Covington, LA; Phyllis Morgan (Michael) of Madisonville, LA; and Philip 
Leatherbury (Geri) of Grafton, VA. Her grandchildren include April Riegler 
(Milwaukee, WI); Scott Statham (New Orleans, LA); Philip Crow (New Orleans, 
LA); Neil Leatherbury (Austin, TX); Paula Biggs (Tipton, FL); Ryan Leatherbury 
(San Antonio, TX); Amanda Merchant (Nashville, TN); Sara Honeycutt 
(Madisonville, LA); Sean Leatherbury (Jacksonville, FL) and Eric Leatherbury 
(Grafton, VA).

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.
Services will be held at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME,
1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA
on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 11:00 A.M.

Interment will follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. until funeral 
time.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Lacombe United Methodist 
Church.
