JOHN E. OÕDOWD, JR of Slidell, LA, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2014.

Beloved husband of Martha OÕDowd for 61 years.
Father of: Agnes OÕD. Faucheux and husband, Donald; John Kevin OÕDowd; 
Antoinette S. Baudry; Father Dung (Young) Nguyen; the late: Michael OÕDowd; and 
Rev. Father Michael Joseph Vihn Ngoc Nguyen
Son of the late, John, Sr. and Agnes OÕDowd.
Brother of: George OÕDowd; Antoinette Nenninger; Beverly Donner and the late 
Dr. Charles Lilly.
Also survived by 10 grandchildren; 4 great Ðgrandchildren; numerous nieces and 
nephews; and his loving friend and caregiver, Greyci Calberon.

Mr. John was 93 years old and a native of New Orleans. His life was dedicated 
to being an educator and served the families of Louisiana and Texas.

Thank you Notre Dame Hospice, especially his nurse, Angie Caliva, RN.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at
St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd. Slidell, LA
on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 9:00A.M. until Memorial Mass at 
11:00 A.M.

Masses requested in lieu of flowers.
