PERT, LEAH FRANCES GREENFIELD 
(November 19, 1923 - February 15, 2014)

Frances Greenfield Pert passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at her home 
in Covington, LA. 
She was born in Frederick, OK, the only daughter to Silas Fish and Ruby Wallace 
Greenfield, on Monday, November 19, 1923. 

She moved to Covington from New Orleans after retiring from the Food and Drug 
Administration.

The beloved wife of the late Donald Melvin Pert, Frances survived the loss of 
her parents and two brothers, Charles and Guy Greenfield. She is survived by 
her loving nieces, nephews and special friends Mary Lynn Legardeur, Roberta 
Cook and Angel Cheramie.

Frances enjoyed painting, reading, gardening, traveling and cooking. Don was 
the love of her life, and, their married years comprised the happiest chapter 
of her life.

Funeral services will take place in Frederick, OK on Saturday, February 22, 
2014 under the direction of Orr Gray Gish Funeral Home.

Frances will be laid to rest in Oklahoma next to her beloved Don at Frederick 
Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lighthouse for the Blind.

Local arrangements have been entrusted to E.J. Fielding Funeral Home of 
Covington, LA
