He was born, May 28, 1928 in New Orleans, LA to Anthony J. Bologna and Rose D'Antoni Bologna. He has been a resident of Abita Springs, LA since 1970. He was the beloved husband of Anna Duclos Bologna, for the past 66 years and He is survived by two daughters - Dianne Bologna Boland and Phyllis Ann Bologna; one son - Anthony C. Bologna (Melissa); two sisters - Mary Jane Ciaccio and Eleanora B. Kennedy; five grandchildren - Brian S. Picou, Martin and Carla Barcelona, Nicholas and Megan Bologna and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his eldest granddaughter - Gretchen Picou Clifton. Mr. Bologna was a proud native New Orleanian. After completing his education at Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, GA in 1946, he started his very first company in the city in of New Orleans Double AA Amusement Company, which provided juke boxes and pin ball machines to local businesses around the city. He continued to work long after "retirement age" by assisting his son to manage one of the great Italian eateries of New Orleans, Venezias located at Canal and Carrolton Street, also he was a avid cruiser and he and his wife were planning to take another cruise this April. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 24, 2014 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. Covington, LA 70433. Visiting hours will begin Monday Noon. Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington, LA will immediately follow mass. ===================
