He was born in Yazoo City, MS on December 2, 1932 the oldest child and only son of Leland Catledge and Georgia Honea. He married the former Myra Ann Barrilleaux of Gretna, LA at St. JosephÕs Church in Gretna in 1959. They spent most of their married life in Covington, LA. Larry spent most of his life in agriculture. He grew up in Rolling Fork, MS on Smedes Plantation, his familyÕs cotton plantation. The family would later move to New Orleans. Larry continued his work in farming in his adult life. At one time he ran the most head of cattle in St. Tammany Parish as well as being one of the parishÕs largest soy bean farmers. He served as President of St. Tammany Parish Farm Bureau and was a member of the Louisiana CattlemenÕs Association. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Covington. LarryÕs faith played a major role in his life. He worked along side a number of people to spread the Gospel locally. He and his wife Myra even had a hand in the founding of Northlake Christian School in Covington where she has worked for the past 28 years. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Dorothy and Faye. Larry is survived by his loving wife Myra; two sisters: Betty Catledge Kirby (Charles) of Rolling Fork and Virginia Catledge Penton (Rodney) of Belle Chase; five children: Julie Catledge Scheuber (Gerry) of Tyler, TX, Leland Claude Catledge of Clarksville, GA, Jennifer Catledge Smith (Kevin) of Covington, LA, Larry Paul Catledge of San Antonio, TX, and Jessica Catledge Davis (John Mallory) of Georgia; and fifteen grandchildren: Erin Scheuber Busing (James) of San Marcos, TX, Stephen Scheuber and Peter Scheuber both of New Braunfels, TX, Preston Valois, Turner Valois, and Emma Smith all of Covington, LA, Maizie Davis, Jesse Davis, John Mallory Davis III, Gilbert Davis, Parrish Davis, Reagan Davis, Hattie Davis, Blythe Davis, and Sterling Davis all of Royston, GA; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 at 2:00 PM with visitation from 12:00 Noon until service time. Interment will follow services in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Covington, LA. ===================
