Born in New Orleans and lived on the Northshore since 1976. Amelia was a lifetime member and Chaplain of Lacombe VFW Post 8920 Women's Auxillary, Member of TOPS, Slidell and the Lacombe Senior Center. Beloved wife of the late Charles F. Dalferes, Sr. for 65 years. Loving mother of Charlotte M. Patten, Diane Dalferes, daughter-in-law Cynthia Dalferes and the late Charles F. Dalferes, Jr. Sister of Robert Pajares. Grandmother of Emmett Patten (Cathy), Charles F. Dalferes, III (Erin), and Brian Dalferes. Great grandmother of Stephanie Nipper (Eugene), Benjamin, Kaitlyn, Joseph, Brady and Nicholas Dalferes. Great great grandmother of two, Gabrielle and Amelia Nipper. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and special family members, Louis Verges and Terry "Max" Spiehler. In lieu of flowers, donations to the VFW Post 8920, Lacombe or memorial masses in her honor at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lacombe. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 28088 Main St., Lacombe, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 11:00 am.
