HAMMONS, DAVEY JOE 

On Monday March 31, 2014 Davey Joe Hammons, age 79 of Pearl River, LA passed 
away. 

Mr. Hammons attended Church of the King and served in the United States Navy 
Seabees. 

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Nellie Joy Hammons, son Davey Joel 
Hammons (favorite daughter in law Leatrice), daughters Beverly Diedra Hammons, 
Christie Deneane Hammons, Sonya Rachele Hammons Colgan (Edward III). 5 
grandchildren Jennifer, Jonathan, Karli, Garrett, and Brennan, great grandchild 
Dayne Otis, and his brothers Dean Hammons, Lenard Hammons, and Steve Hammons.

Mr. Hammons is proceeded in death by his daughter Cindy Yvette Hammons, 
grandchild James E. Hammons, brother James Hammons, and his parents James and 
Maggie Hammons.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday April 2, 2014 at 2 pm at the Church 
of God of Prophecy in Pearl River, LA.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 12 pm until service time at 2 pm.

Interment to follow at Hickory Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Pearl River, LA.

arrangements.
