Barbara Jean Plaisance Hebert, beloved matriarch, went to be with the Lord on 
March 20, 2014 at the age of 75 following a courageous battle with cancer. 

She joins her parents, Floye ÒFloÓ Landry and Clancy J. Plaisance, Sr., of 
Marrero, LA., in eternal rest. 

Barbara is survived by her husband of 57 years, Albert Hebert; her siblings, 
Clancy J. (Evelyn) and Rudy Plaisance; her children, Lorilyn Hebert Darce and 
Scott A. Hebert; her grandchildren, Michelle Darce Golemi (Dominic), Erik S. 
Hebert and Ashleigh Tomlinson Edwards (Chance); her great-grandchildren, 
Gabrielle and Grayson Golemi and Kade Edwards. Aunt to Janelle Plaisance 
Scoggins (Ronnie); Paige Plaisance Pattison (Danny); Celeste Gaudet Strickland 
and Steven Arnondin. Sister-in-Law to Rosemary Gaudet and Stella Arnondin. She 
always thought of Kelly Hebert Balser (Doug) as a daughter of her own. 

Barbara traveled the Americas throughout her husbandÕs 21 years of service with 
the U.S. Air Force before settling in Slidell, LA 14 years ago. She was active 
in the Red Hat Society and Bonco Club, where she enjoyed playing cards with her 
dear friends, in addition to her love for baking, sewing, gardening and crafts. 
Supporting, loving and cherishing her family and friends only amplified her 
enthusiasm for life. 
She will be forever missed.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.
Services will be held at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 61051 Brier 
Lake, Lacombe, LA 70445, on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11:00 A.M.

Interment will follow in West Lawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Ave, Gretna, LA.

Visitation on Monday, March 24, 2014 from 9:30 A.M. until funeral time.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Barbara Hebert to Notre 
Dame Hospice GNO, 1000 Howard Ave, New Orleans, LA 70113.
