John Wayne "Pete" Lemoine, Sr. passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014 at his home 
in Abita Springs, LA. He was born, Wednesday, October 20, 1943 in Simmesport, 
LA to Ulysses Sam and Mary Latino Lemoine Early and moved to Abita Springs in 
1992.

The beloved husband of Marie Shoemaker Lemoine, He is survived by one son - 
John W. Lemoine, Jr.; three daughters - Sandy Lemoine, Cindy Dempster (Kenny) 
and Debbie Salassi; his brother - Larry Early; two granddaughters - Kelly 
Faucheaux, Ashlyn Lemoine and one great grandson - Jaden Ruiz. He was preceded 
in death by his parents and one granddaughter - Kacey Faucheaux.

Pete was a member of the Carpenters Local 1846 and a longtime employee of King 
and Co. in New Orleans. He was also an avid bowler, seen regularly at Tiffany 
Lanes in Mandeville and Tangi Lanes in Hammond.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 12:00 Noon on 
Thursday, March 6, 2014 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. 
Covington, LA 70433.

Visiting hours on Thursday will begin at 10:00 AM.

Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Covington, LA will immediately 
follow mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Interim Hospice, 71677 Riverside 
Dr. Covington, LA 70433.
