Born March 30, 1936 in Lakeside Arizona to Fern E. (Seeley) and Reed Yeager Whipple. Reed served in the USMC 1953 to 1956. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton 1st Marine Division and also served in Korea. Beloved father of Debra Whipple Pierson, Loveland CO, Enola (Rueben) Flores, Madras OR, Bert (Teresa) Whipple, Slidell LA, Joel (Harry) Whipple, Los Angeles CA. Ora Belle Spaulding, Casper, WY, Quita Andrews ,Lorain, OH, Gaye (Criss) Fraley, Amherst OH, Christine (Brett) Wuest, Wilsonville OR, Carol (Don) Pecot, Amite, LA, Linda Chauvin, Waggaman, LA. William (Deborah) Greer, Slidell, LA, Ruby (John) Morgan Meridian, MS. 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Survived by his brother Lee (Ethel) Whipple, Phoenix, AZ and sister Lillis (Stan) Moulton, Hondo, TX. Married Joye Sigman, Ajo, AZ Dec 1955 divorced April 1969, Geneva Quinn Nov 1969, Why, AZ proceeded him in death June 1993, and married Gladys ÒDeanÓ Greer Dec 1993, Slidell, LA she proceeded him in death September 2011. He was proceeded in death by his parents Reed and Fern, brothers John and Bert, sisters Marlene and Viola, great grandson Jason. Also, survived by his work family at Boh Bro, New Orleans, LA, whom he was proud to be a part of. He was honored to work alongside his son Bert. He was a member of the American Legion Post 374, Slidell, LA, Sons of the American Legion, . V.F. W. Post 3804, Picayune, MS, Marine Corps League Det, 1250, Loveland CO. He loved the outdoors and designing his personal home garden park. He had very unique taste and could visualize masterpieces. He could build and fix anything, if he couldnÕt fix it then neither could anyone else. His motto was Ò As good as the best and better than the restÓ. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, LA. Monday March 17, 2014.
