She was born on May 3, 1927 in New Orleans to Lawrence J. and Julia Lise Freret Baldwin and was a lifelong resident of Covington and New Orleans. A devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, she is survived by three daughters - Simonne Brown Maginnis (Bruce), Britton Moore Brown and Cleon Brown Boone (Teddy); two sons Ð Henry Elder Brown, Jr. (Millie) and Lawrence Baldwin Brown (Laura); 13 grandchildren Ð John and Michael Maginnis, Simonne Wortham, Elizabeth Brown and H. Elder Brown III, Adrienne Walker, Charlotte Jackson, Lise Taber, Teddy, Jr., Jonathan and Christopher Boone, Molly and Anna Brown and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister Ð Julia Lise Baldwin and three brothers Ð Lawrence ÒChinkÓ, James M. and Richard C. Baldwin. Woo loved her family immensely. She was passionate about many things, music being one of them. Her smile and bright blue eyes, her quick wit and sense of humor, and her spirit of generosity will be missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Road St. Benedict, LA 70457. Interment at the St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery will immediately follow the mass. A celebration of WooÕs life will take place in The Atrium at Christwood following the committal service (3:00 PM). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Abbey or to Christwood, 100 Christwood Blvd. Covington, LA 70433.
