Born in New Orleans, LA, resided in St. Tammany Parish for 52 years. She forecasted the weather as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Air Force from 1974 to 1978 and she retired in 2009 as a Hydrologist with the National Weather Service. She was a member of the Bogalusa Seventh Day Adventist Church. Laurie was a passionate self-taught student of biblical prophecy, loved to dance and was a friend to all. Laurie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and sister who will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Loving wife of Mark "Wayne" Hall for 38 years. Daughter of Marie Cantrell Knight and the late William "Bill" Knight. Devoted mother of Mark W. Hall, II (Jackie) and Christine Aparicio (Teo). Sister of Coralie Herman (Ron), Angel Gautreaux (Lynn) and John Knight (Holly). Grandmother to Mark's children: Landon, Kaitlyn and Christian; as well as Christine's children: Paola, Daniella, Caroline, and Samuel. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Wake Services on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Dove Park Church of God from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held the next day, Friday, April 11, 2014 at Dove Park Church of God at 10:00am. Visitation at the church from 9:00 am until service time.
