Born October 31, 1944, an only child, she was preceded in death by her Mother, Edwardine "Jean" Blackmer Held and her Father, Warren Held. She leaves behind her 5 children, Lara Holley Sword, Samantha Holley Orlando, Larry Holley Jr., Lenore Holley Johnson & Eron Holley. She leaves 13 Grandchildren, (of Lara) John Horridge II, Sean Horridge, Wolfgang Ruiz, Gunner Ruiz, (of Lenore) Eric Johnson, Chance Johnson, (of Samatha) Travis Orlando, (of Larry Jr.) Dylan Holley, Marcelle Holley, Luke Holley, (of Eron) Ashleigh Holley, October Holley & Dante' Holley. Two Great Grandchildren, (of John Horridge, II), John Horridge III, and Daniel Hall. Since 1969, Jean lived in and around the New Orleans area and suburbs. She was a resident of Slidell, Louisiana, for the past 24 years. She enjoyed her many trips to Disney World, with her children and grandchildren. A stay at home Mom, she devoted her life to raising her family, until her separation and eventual divorce in 1992. At that time, she went to work for NFP. Eventually, she began to miss caring for people. So, she became a C.N.A., at Greenbriar Nursing Convalescent in Slidell. Her life long dream was to become an R.N. She worked and, attended nursing school until, she could no longer continue due her illness, in 2004. In recent years, one of her biggest joys was, being reunited with her childhood friend, Michelle Rishwain Bernard. A down to earth woman that loved to spend time with her family. She was greatly loved and will be even more greatly missed. ===================
