Beloved wife of the late Gene G. Lanoux of 29 years who passed away on March 29, 2010. Loving mother of Deborah Lanoux Arceneaux (Gary), Leslie Lanoux Moll (Eric), Gene ÒGabeÓ Lanoux, Jr. (Stacy), Jenny Almand Creel (Donny), and Missy Almand Huddleston (Matt). Daughter of the late Luther ÒBuddyÓ and Beryl Simmonds Alford. Daughter-in-law of the late Alfred and Ida Bercegeay Lanoux. Sister of Danny Alford (Brenda). Sister-in-law of Rita Bourque, George Lanoux, Doris Van, A.J. Lanoux, Jerry Lanoux, Marie Abadie, Leon Lanoux, Dennis Lanoux, Annette Lanoux, Ronald Lanoux, Donald Lanoux and Libby Mire. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, Jonathon, Stephen (Lindsay), Miranda, Braylie, Savanna, Amber, Bryan, Monroe, Cade, Dillon, Josephine, Emma and Doris and 2 great grandchildren Ty and Lincoln. A Georgia native residing in Slidell for the last 33 years. Mrs. Lanoux graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1964 and Valdosta State College in 1968. She was the assistant director of Finance for the City of Slidell from 1987 to 2006. She was a proud member of the VFW Post 5735 Ladies Auxiliary, Slidell Noon Lions Club Lionesses and Red Hot Hat Honeys. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Visitation at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, LA on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 12:00pm until Memorial Service at 1:00pm.
