Claire Piglia Richards departed peacefully to Heaven on Thursday, April 3, 2014 
at the age of 71. 

Beloved wife of 48 years to the late Roy J. Richards. Loving mother of Roy J. 
Richards (Patricia), Jeffrey M. Richards and Chad A. Richards (Becky). Daughter 
of the late John and Viola Piglia. Sister of John Piglia, E.J. Piglia, Tommy 
Piglia, Ann Wetta, Jerry Piglia, Larry Piglia and Pat Piglia. Grandmother of 
Ongelle, Roy, Jr., Justin, Hillary, Katelyn, Aiden and Arden. Great-grandmother 
of Gracie and Bailey. Also survived by her cousin Mary Fanning. 

She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Madisonville for the past six 
years.   

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on 
Monday, April 7, 2014 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, 
Covington, LA 70433 at 1:00 PM with visitation on Monday from 11:00 AM until 
service time. 

Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Mrs. 
Richards to be made to the American Cancer Society.
