BAKER, MARION 
January 19, 1927  -  May 21, 2014

MARION BAKER, 87, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, in 
Slidell.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his brother: Edward Baker.

He is survived by his wife: Andrea Baker; five children: Joseph Baker, Julie 
Sarpy (husband John), Russell Baker, Donald Baker, and James Baker;
Four grandchildren: Angelo Chappetta, Chris Chappetta, Russell Baker II, and 
Nathan Baker; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by nieces, 
nephews, and other relatives.

A native of Biloxi, Mississippi, Mr. Baker was a former resident of New 
Orleans, and a resident of Slidell, Louisiana for over thirty years. He was a 
former Merchant Marine and a World War II veteran, and an Eagle Scout.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 11:00am at Our Lady 
of Lourdes Catholic Church, 400 Westchester Blvd, Slidell LA 70458.
Visitation will begin at the church on Saturday beginning at 9:30am.

Burial will be in Biloxi City Cemetery.

Donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
