She was born on October 7, 1930 in New Orleans, LA to the late Ralph and Anna Desemar Bicksler. Anna was married to the late Raymond Joseph Barras. She had three children, Charles E. Barras, Deborah B. Powell, and Beverly Barras. She will be dearly missed by her seven grandchildren, Ian, Aaron, Jessica, Wendy, Matthew, Laurie, and Brandon; nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Anna was the sister of Ralph J. Bicksler and Charles L. Bicksler. Anna was as a homemaker and dedicated herself to raising her family, which included over 25 foster children. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing the slot machines. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Liturgy of the Word on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 at 2:00 PM with visitation from 12:00 Noon until service time. Interment will follow services in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Covington, LA. ===================
