He was born on August 18, 1989 in Covington, LA to Robert Florent and Dr. Ann Hay Conn Minaldi. Colin will be dearly missed by his step father Thad Minaldi. He was the loving brother of Austin Conn. He was the grandson of Shirley and John Hay and the late Clarence and Clara Conn. He is survived by his uncle, Wiley Conn, aunt, Claire Conn and aunt, Linda Smith. He was the cousin of Chandler and Megan Smith and Elizabeth and Paul LaRosa. Colin completed his psychology degree at LSU and was finishing a dual Chemistry and Physics degree. He was planning on graduate school. Colin took great pleasure in exercising his exceptional intellectual abilities. He was an athlete and outdoorsman. He loved hiking and requested his ashes be scattered in Canyonlands National Park, Moab, Utah. Colin was loved by many. Those who knew him are forever changed. We will miss his glad grace and infectious smile. Sweet peace is now yours in the arms of the Beloved. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Friday, May 23, 2014 at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 S. New Hampshire St., Covington, LA 70433 at 2:00 PM, followed by a reception at the family home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Colin B.
