He was a loving and devoted husband to Stella Clesi Jeffreys for 67 years and a loving father to Cheryl J. Kreller and her husband, Dr. J. Skelly Kreller. Papa was the grandfather of Gretchen K. Cacioppo(Joey), Emily K. Warder, Stephen Kreller(Stephanie), Jill K. Osmerg(Lars) and David Kreller(Anne) and the great- grandfather of five. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Sr. and Jewel Jeffreys, two sisters, Mary Louise Dufrene and Barbara Bercegeay. Jeff was born in Electra, TX, June 6, 1924. After graduation from Tomball High School in Tomball TX in 1942, he proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II. He and his wife traveled extensively in their RV and visited all but four states. He retired from Exxon after 39 years of service. After he retired he continued to travel, cut his own grass, work on his tractor and research genealogical records tracing his family back to the 1600Õs. He was a member of Tammany Oaks Church of Christ in Mandeville. He was a man of very strong faith and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 9:00 AM to service time. Interment in Mandeville Cemetery Mandeville, LA.
