Laried Lucien Malter, Sr., a native of Slidell, US Army Veteran, and retired 
employee of FolgerŐs Coffee Company in New Orleans, passed away at home on May 
25, 2014 at the age of 74.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine Malter; three sons, Laried Jr. 
(Loretta), Garret, and Troy (Delores). He is also survived by six 
grandchildren, Kayla Johnson (Gary), Lauren Faciane, Troy, Ashlyn, Roman, Reid, 
and many relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lucien and Grace Malter; his brother, 
Griffith; and sister-in-law, Sally.

A memorial mass celebrating LariedŐs life will be held on Friday, May 30th at 
St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Slidell, LA at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will 
begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to the memorial mass. Arrangements under the direction 
of Honaker Funeral Home, Slidell, LA.
