Holly Elizabeth Thoede, age 32, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2014 and 
entered into the house of the Lord. 

Born December 12, 1981, Holly was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of 
Slidell, LA for the past six years.

Loving daughter of Karen Vanderbrook Thoede and Frederick J. Thoede III.
Granddaughter of: Doris M. Vanderbrook; Joyce M. Thoede; Frederick J. Thoede 
Jr.; and the late William P. Vanderbrook Jr.; Niece of Deborah V. Gagliano 
(Vincent); Kirk Vanderbrook; William P. Vanderbrook III (Cheryl); Penny T. 
Donnell (David); Jeffrey Thoede (Cindy); Cousin of : Vincent, Nicholas and Kirk 
Gagliano; Lisa V. Jones and William P. Vanderbrook IV.

Holly was incredibly gifted and motivated and excelled in every aspect of her 
life. She graduated Valedictorian from Cabrini High School, Class of 1999. She 
was a Eucharistic Minister, member of the dance team, editor of the school 
newspaper, and participated in clubs such as Math, Science and French. She 
graduated Summa Cum Laude from Loyola University with a Bachelor of Arts in 
Communications and a minor in French. She earned her MasterŐs Degree in 
Communications. After college she worked for WWL TV before going into 
marketing.

HollyŐs 32 trips around the sun brought her to many ports of call. She had a 
special appreciation for Reggae and Tropical music. There was also a special 
place in her heart for animals and she helped to rescue many. She leaves behind 
her beloved dog Ziggy.

A memorial service was held on May 23, 2014 at Honaker Funeral Home in Slidell, 
LA. 
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
