She departed from this life on Monday, June 23, 2014 at her home in Covington, LA. She was a member of Doughty Chapel A.M.E. Church from birth through her teenage years. She attended school in St. Tammany Parish. She was employed by St. Tammany Parish School Board. She also was a former employee of Winn-Dixie, Southeast Louisiana Hospital and Northshore Behavioral. She will be missed greatly by her family and everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Roae Mary Davis, brother Frank Davis, Jr., brother Clifton Davis (Bootsy), grandparents Felix and Idel Harrison, and Mary Bell Davis, great-aunt Alice Crockett and St. Joseph Crockett, uncle and aunt Clifford and Margie White. Amelia Catherine Davis leaves to cherish her memory: niece Kalynn Rochelle Wilson (Baton Rouge, LA), Desmond Ty Durce (Lacombe, LA), god-brother Sidney Ray James (Covington, LA), uncle and aunt Lucinda and Willie Keller (Covington, LA), adoptive family Karen Koenig, and a host of cousins and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at St. James Baptist Church, 312 Highway 1077, Madisonville, LA 70447. Visitation, AT THE CHURCH, on Saturday from 1:00 PM until service time. Interment in Covington #1 Cemetery.
