Damian Louis Gele passed away due to natural causes on Friday, June 20, 2014 
while at work in Luling, LA. 
He was born on Tuesday, January 16, 1962 to Charles Emile and Anna Kitzinger 
Gele in New Orleans,LA and was a resident of Loranger, LA since 1992.

The beloved husband of Cynthia Dufrene Gele for 20 years, he is survived by one 
daughter - Sara Gele Marie (Tony); two sons - Charles Quinton Gele and Jeremy 
Neil Overmier (Shelly); one brother - Charles L. Gele (Lisa); three sisters - 
Gay Bourgeois (John), Merry Bernard (Frank) and Joy Long and five grandchildren 
- Zoe, Justin and Austin Marie, Eli and Emily Overmier. 

His parents preceded him in death.

A graduate of West Jefferson High School, Mr. Gele was a valued employee with 
Bisso Towboat for over 12 years and was a dedicated member of Bogue Falaya 
Baptist Church in Folsom, LA for the past 17 years. What he treasured most in 
life was the time spent with family and friends, fishing, hunting and football.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services at 1:00 PM on 
Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave. 
Covington, LA 70433.

Visiting hours on Wednesday will begin at 10:00 AM.

Interment at the Bogue Falaya Baptist Church Cemetery in Folsom, LA 
will immediately follow services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bogue Falaya Baptist Church, 78689 
Highway 25 Folsom, LA
