Caroline Schmidt Price, 83, passed away peacefully at home in Houston on 
Sunday, June 22, 2014. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, William F. ŇNickÓ Price, her parents, 
William and Ossie Schmidt, and sister, Patricia Ann Schmidt Smith. 

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Jeff and Susan Price, several 
nieces and nephews, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Caroline was born in Bridgeport, Okla., and lived all over the world, including 
Samoa, Panama, Alamogordo, N.M., Ann Arbor, Mich., Decatur, Ark., Slidell, La., 
and Houston. 
She moved with her family to Slidell in 1972, where she taught at W.L. Abney 
Elementary School and lived until Hurricane Katrina. She was a parishioner of 
St. Genevieve and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic churches.

Always ready to have fun, she didnŐt miss celebrating Carnival, dressing as a 
clown with her husband every year, reveled in March Madness during the NCAA 
Final Four basketball tournament, and once drove a car in an auto race in 
Panama.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday,June 25, 2014, from 5-8 p.m., at Honaker 
Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, in Slidell.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m., at Honaker Funeral Home - 
Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidel. 

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in CarolineŐs honor to the Muscular 
Dystrophy Association or ChildrenŐs Hospital in New Orleans.
