He was surrounded by his loving family. For 42 years he was the devoted husband of Adrienne Carrouche Bertucci. Proud father to, Jennifer Bertucci Simon, Evan John Bertucci, and Jeremy Eric Bertucci. Father- in- law to, David Simon, Melissa Miranda Bertucci and Heather Arthur Bertucci. Loving granddad to, Kathryn, Ethan, Carly Ruth, Mia, Emma, Samantha and Max. Brother to, Anthony B. Bertucci III, Mary Craigie and Barbara Labue. He is preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Elizabeth Bertucci. John was a member of the United States Air Force and a resident of Slidell for 33 years. He was a devoted husband and father who was very active in his childrenŐs lives, coaching T-Ball and both sonŐs soccer teams. He participated in Taekwondo classes with all 3 children at Rick Weems Karate Plus, where he earned a 4th Degree Black Belt. He was an avid supporter of the childrenŐs band and dance competitions, a roadie for sonŐs rock n roll band and in later years enjoying the same experiences with his grandchildrenŐs activities. We would like to send our sincere thanks to the amazing doctors at CTCA in Tulsa, OK, who helped give John 5 years of quality life with his children and the very passionate people at Notre Dame Hospice who took over his care since April. We also appreciate the prayers, love and support from our many relatives and friends. He will be sorely missed but his strong faith in God will carry him through his next journey. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY. Visitation on Monday, July 7, 2014 from 11:00 A.M. until funeral time.
