HOWARD, EMILY SAVOIE 

Emily (Sis) Savoie Howard, A native of Lockport, LA and resident of 
Ponchatoula, LA for the past 1.5 years, and homemaker, passed away peacefully, 
at her home at the age of 84, on Tuesday, July 1, 2014.  

Surviving her death is her husband of 53 years, Billy J. Howard; also survived 
by her four children: Lori Howard Soler (Alex), Brian James Howard (Sharon), 
Bruce J. Howard (Lisa) and Brice J. Howard (Georgia) and 7 grandchildren:  
Brandon Howard, Gabrielle Howard, Blake Howard, Brett Howard, Benjamin Howard, 
Brenden Howard, and Braylon Howard, brother:  Noah Savoie (Theresa); sisters: 
Marion Hermetz (Robert) and Bertha Mae Ryan (A.J.) and a host of beloved nieces 
and nephews. 
She will be dearly missed by her loyal and constant companion, her dog Lexie as 
well as her 12 furry grand babies. 

Emily was preceded in death by her parents, father Noah Savoie, and her beloved 
mother, Emily Guidroz Savoie.  

Emily will be greatly missed by her extensive extended family and friends.  She 
will be fondly remembered for her spirit for life, her giving nature, and her 
love for animals.  

The family also thanks the caring and loving staff of Americare Hospice: 
Chrissy, Mary, Michele and Elizabeth and special thanks to Georgia for caring 
and loving our mother / grandmother / aunt as her own.  

A graveside service was held at Holy Savior Church in Lockport. 

In lieu of flowers please make donations to your local Humane Society.
