KILGORE, MILDRED "MIDGE" MORTON NAUGLE 

Mildred ÒMidgeÓ Morton Naugle Kilgore passed away July 26, 2014 in Covington, 
LA at the age of 91. 
She was born on March 12, 1923 in Roe, AR to the late Pete A. and Lula G. 
Fridell.

Midge was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 25 years, the late James 
W. Morton, and husbands Dr. Thomas C. Naugle, and Rev. Robert Kilgore. She was 
the loving mother of Melinda M. Richard (RJ) and the late James W. Morton, Jr. 
She leaves behind her grandson, Christopher J. Oertling and step-children Dr. 
Thomas Naugle ,Jr. (Betsy), Julia White (Walter), and their children Hunter, 
Millette, and the late Thomas White.

Midge was a homemaker and dedicated herself to raising her family. She was an 
active member of the Union Protestant Church for many years. An advocate for 
mental health she worked as a volunteer coordinator at the Southeast Louisiana 
Hospital. Midge was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with her family 
throughout her life.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service 
on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at E. J. Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave, Covington, 
LA 70433 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 10:00 AM until service time. 

Interment will be held privately after the service in the Mandeville City 
Cemetery Mausoleum. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Midge be made to the Leukemia & 
Lymphoma Society, www.lls.org
