Born, Sunday, January 14, 1962 in Covington, LA to the late Sidney Morris Smith, Jr. and Helen Verges Smith. Survived by her Husband - Rowland Hayes Thomas,III, Step-Mother - Kathleen F. Panter Smith, Step-Sister - Allison Panter, Father-in-law - Rowland H. Thomas, Jr., Mother-in-law - Diane Thomas, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many friends. Kimmie, as she was known to her friends, was a stunning woman who was equally as beautiful on the inside, attracting a wide group of friends and admirers throughout life. Kim resided in Myrtle Beach, and Sunny Isles, FL, but always had a special place in her heart for New Orleans and St. Tammany. As a Covington High Cheerleader and LSU graduate, where she was a member of Delta Gamma sorority, she loved rooting for both the Tigers and the Saints. Kimmie was a great tennis player, loved the beach, and traveled extensively with her husband, Hayes. She had a natural talent for cooking and giving parties. She adored serving her friends delicious food while lavishing attention on everyone. Kim's contagious smile and love of life and her ability to listen with such an open heart meant that she never met a stranger. Her tremendous love and commitment to her husband, friends and her beloved animals will remain in their hearts forever. We now pray she will rest knowing how loved she was by so many and that she is now with her parents in Heaven.
