Maria L. Anderson passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at the age of 80.

Beloved wife of the late Armando Anderson. Loving mother of Armando Anderson 
Sr., Dennis Anderson, Michael Anderson and Nancy Anderson. Daughter of the late 
Maria Louisa Speer Salgado and Antonio Ramon Salgado. Sister of Norma, Marcia, 
Nohemy, Judith, Yolanda, Roy, Isabell, Teresa, and Flavia. Also survived by six 
grandchildren, Armando Anderson Jr., Kayla Anderson, Jazmine Gilchrist, Carlee 
Anderson, Trinity Tripkovich and Jenna Dow. She was a loving aunt to many 
nieces and nephews.

She was a native of Tegucigalpa, Honduras, lived in St. Bernard Parish and was 
a resident of Abita Springs for the past nine years.

The family would like to thank Bryan Gilchrist, Jackie Chaney and Juliette 
Magee for all their loving care, Synergy Home Health and St. CatherineŐs 
Hospice.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding 
Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Monday, August 25, 
2014 at 3:00 PM with visitation on Monday beginning at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mrs. Anderson to 
be made to St. Jude ChildrenŐs Research Hospital.
