Born on February 3, 1943, in Calhoun County, MS to James Earl Clemons and Juanita Frances Chandler Clemons. He had three brothers; James Lamar (Son), Steve Edward, Larry Gene, and three sisters; Barbara Ellen, Linda Frances, and Dorothy 'Faye'. After graduating in 1961 from Benoit High School, he went to work for US Gypsum Co. in Greenville, MS. He was drafted into the army and shortly after married Brenda Kaye Goodwin, his beloved wife of almost 49 years. While stationed in Washington, his son William Allen Clemons was born. When he returned home from war in Vietnam, where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, The Vietnam Gallantry Cross and the Sharpshooter (Rifle M-14) Commendation, he relocated his family to Texas and started his career as an insurance salesman. They settled in Houston, where later his daughter Tammy Darlene Clemons was born. Eighteen years later, in 1985, they moved back home to Greenville, MS. In 1999, he moved his family to Covington, LA, where he retired from his career as an insurance salesman. He was preceded in death by both parents, his sister Dorothy 'Faye' Clemons, and his sister Barbara Ellen Clemons Davis, and his son William Allen Clemons. He is survived by his wife and daughter, grandson Paul Lewis Clemons, Paul's wife Julia, and his two great-grandchildren, Kylie and Lucas Clemons, three brothers and one sister, and numerous other family members. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 18, 2014 at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 West 21st Avenue Covington, LA 70433. Visitation on Monday, from 12:00 PM until service time. He will then be forwarded to Mortimer Funeral Home, 711 Hwy 82, Greenville, MS 38701 for another Funeral Service on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 3:00 PM with a visitation beginning at 1:00 PM until service time. Interment in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Greenville, MS . ===================
