DEMELLO, SHIRLEY BURKHARDT 

On Tuesday, August 5, 2014 Shirley Burkhardt DeMello passed away at the age of 
99 years. 

She is survived by 3 sons; Merrill James DeMello, Howard Hale DeMello Jr., and 
Joseph Philip DeMello (Audrey Ann Barnewold DeMello). Mrs. DeMello is also 
survived by 5 grandchildren Debbie, Chris, Ben, Jason, Merrill, 2 step 
grandchildren Bobby and Tara, 12 great grandchildren and 4 great great 
grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Howard DeMello, Sr., her parents Joseph 
and Laura Burkhardt, her daughter Laurielea Shirley Chauvin, 2 brothers Herbert 
Burkhardt, James Burkhardt and 2 sisters Mildred Barthelomew, Elsie Hill and 1 
grandchild Roseanne. 

Family and friends are invited to attend the services at D.T. Williams Funeral 
Home located at 67525 Hwy 41, Pearl River, Louisiana 70452 on Saturday August 
9, 2014 at 11 am with visitation from 9 am until service time.
Brother Pat Callahan to be officiating.
