Richard was born in New Orleans on April 15, 1937 to the union of the late Lance Gremillion and Anna Baker Gremillion. Richard has been re-united with the love of his life, the late Ruby Gail Gremillion who preceded him in death just over a year ago. He was a loving and devoted brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren who will miss him dearly - Brandon Coco, Brittani Coco, Blair Gremillion, Blake Coco, and Megan Gremillion, and his great granddaughter Kaylee Coco. Richard was an avid New Orleans Saints fan that finally got to see his beloved Saints win a Super Bowl in 2009. He had a true love and understanding of God and his role in his life. He was a true servant to the Lord and was an active member of Mid-City Baptist Church, Williams Boulevard Baptist Church, and Belle Chasse Baptist Church. Richard retired from being the owner and operator of the False River Memorial Park in 2004, and proudly served as the President of the Mandeville New Image Club in 2005. He enjoyed bowling and competed in tournaments around the region with many friends. He will be dearly missed by his children Kathy and her husband Buddy Coco, Rick and his wife Laura Gremillion, and his sister Sharon Long. He is joyfully reunited with the other loved ones that preceded him: his mother and father, Lance and Anna Gremillion, and his brother Lance Gremillion Jr. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend visitation services at EJ Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 9:00am to 11:00am. A service will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 pm, followed by an interment at the False River Memorial Park in New Roads Louisiana at 2:30pm. A short graveside service will be held. A shuttle bus will be provided between the funeral home in Covington, LA and False River Memorial Park for those that need transportation. ===================
