MCDANIEL, ELLA ROSE (MIER) 
Died: Tue., Aug. 5, 2014

Ella Rose Mier McDaniel, age 88 of Covington, LA passed peacefully from this 
life surrounded and supported by her loving family.

Ella was born Wednesday, June 16, 1926 in Welsh, LA to the late Eulise and 
Delores Esthay Mier.  

Beloved wife of the late George B. McDaniel.
wShe is survived by her three daughters; Virginia Taylor (late Harry), Mary 
Janet Lenel (Leonard), and Kathey Lee (Jimmy).  She is also survived by 7 
grandchildren; Kevin and Scot Taylor, Leonard (Christina) Lenel, Dawn (Robert) 
Powell, Leif, Lance, and Logan Johnson and 3 great grandchildren; Matthew 
Powell, Jaylynn Johnson, and Gabriel Lenel.

A resident of Covington since 1956, she was a devoted catholic and a member of 
St. BenedictÕs Catholic Church.

Ella was a devoted homemaker and dedicated herself to raising her family as 
well as many foster children.  She was an avid seamstress and made rosaries and 
confirmation scapulars for many years.

The family wishes to express immense gratitude to Shelia McKee, New Zion 
Baptist Church, Fitzgerald Methodist Church, the staff at Forest Manor, and St. 
CatherineÕs Hospice for helping and caring for her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel 
of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Road, Covington, LA 70435 on Thursday, 
August 7, 2014 at 6:00 pm.   Visitation from 5:00 pm until service time.  
Interment will be held at a later date.
