MIMMS, JAMES ROBERT 
April 9, 1955  -  August 2, 2014

James Robert Mimms, age 59 passed away on August 2, 2014 in Slidell, LA. 

He grew up in the Woolmarket Community and attended Coalville United Methodist 
Church. Mr. 

Mimms was a veteran, having served in the Navy. After his military service he 
spent the remainder of his career in civil service.

Mr. Mimms was preceded in death by his father, Chapple Harris Mimms. 

He is survived by his love of 15 years, Connie Young of Slidell, his mother, 
Bobbie Mimms Williams of d'Iberville; brother David Mimms (Molly) of Laurel; 
sister Cindy Grimes of Gulfport; sister Karen Naron of Woolmarket; and brother 
Kenneth Mimms of Biloxi as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Coalville 
United Methodist Church in Woolmarket at 11:00 am 

after which his remains will be buried in the Coalville Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to the American Cancer Society, 
a veteran's organization or Coalville United Methodist Church.
