Joy Buras Sisung passed away peacefully, with family at her side, on Friday, 
August 1, 2014 at the age of 77.

Loving mother of Ronald P. Jr. (Melissa) Sisung, Stephen (Donna) Sisung, Wendy 
Sisung (Chris) Sanchez and Wesley (Kim) Sisung. Beloved Granmommy to 11 
grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. 

Preceded in death by her parents Irma Fitzgerald Buras and Whitney Benjamin 
Buras, widowed by Ronald P. Sisung, Sr, a brother Whitney ÒButzÓ Buras, and a 
sister Theresa ÒTessÓ McLendon.

Joy was a graduate of Gretna High School, Class of 1955. She was a past 
employee of DH Holmes, Dillard's, Maison Blanche, and most recently Gordon's of 
Mandeville, where she was able to share her passion for creativity with many. 
She was a loyal and devoted Saints fan and an avid gardener. She will be dearly 
missed by her family and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial mass to celebrate JoyÕs life at 
St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Algiers, LA on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 
12:30 PM. 

There will be a private family inurnment following.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Joy to be made 
to Community Care Hospice.
