On August the first, Mathilde Thomas Stone age 93 passed away peacefully at her 
Covington home, Woodside. 

At her bedside, she was surrounded by her immediate family who adored her and 
respected all for which she stood. She was a graduate of Fairfax Hall, 
Virginia. As a realtor in the early 1950Ős, she was a pioneer in developing 
Uptown New Orleans homes.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, Mathilde Baldwin Thomas and G. Henry A. 
Thomas; her siblings, Gloria and G. Henry A. Thomas, Jr.; as well as one 
grandson, Christopher. 

She is survived by her children, Mathilde Stone Leary and Michael Tollemache 
Stone; as well her grandchildren, Prieur, Mathilde, and Ashley Leary, Michael, 
Andrew, and Barton Stone. . Her great grandchildren are Alexandra, Cecilia, 
Chloe and Lucas Leary.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the funeral mass at 2:00 PM on 
Monday, August 4, 2014 from the church at St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Rd., 
St. Benedict, LA 70457. Burial at the Abbey Cemetery will immediately follow 
mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph s Abbey.
